  • Andromeda Botanic Gardens: Admire an interesting collection of tropical plants, such as bougainvillea, hibiscus, heliconia and orchids. There are thousands of plants that have been brought in here from around the world. The garden also features three waterfalls. There is a souvenirs and gifts shop on the grounds.

Barbados offers an abundance of restaurants offering local cuisine, seafood and continental cuisine. The wide range of dining options available on the island ensures that there is something to suit every taste and budget. You can cook up a delicious meal in your vacation villa or watch the sun sink in the distant horizon while enjoying a sumptuous dinner at any of the excellent restaurants in Barbados.

Informal attire is acceptable in most Barbados restaurants during the day, but at night a more formal dress code is enforced. Dinner reservations are highly recommended especially during the winter.

Nightlife and entertainment

There is plenty to keep the night owls occupied once the sun goes down. The nightlife in Barbados is extensive and varied, providing entertainment for every taste, from romantic cruises to historic dinner shows and exquisite dining. The dinner shows provide insight into the island’s history and culture as well as excellent entertainment and fine Barbadian cuisine. The nightclubs feature live entertainment most nights of the week. Most bands play local music but there are several excellent R & B bands that play top international music also. Golfing

Perfect weather conditions through out the year and beautiful settings make Barbados an ideal destination for the golf enthusiasts. According to Fodor's, golfers can choose between some of the best championship courses in Barbados.

  • Rockley Golf Club: This par 70, 5610 yd course has strategically placed trees on fairways and around greens.
  • Barbados Golf Club: This 6,805 yard course features a dramatic 'Amen Corner' on holes 15 & 16. The golf course has hosted the Barbados Open on several occasions.
