British Virgin Islands
There are more than 60 islands that constitute the British Virgin Islands (BVIs). The islands, in the form of a necklace strung along Sir Francis Drake Channel between Puerto Rico and St. Kitts, are a visual paradise. Many of the BVIs with their unspoilt settings are home to a rich variety of indigenous fauna, including red-legged tortoises and Anegada iguanas.
Tortola is the largest of the British Virgin Islands. The north shore of the island has a generous sprinkling of coves and isolated beaches like Brewer’s Bay and Smuggler’s Cove. The Cane Garden Bay is lined with numerous restaurants and bars. Virgin Gorda also has numerous secluded beaches and natural attractions, the main being the Baths. These monumental granite boulders, similar to the Stonehenge in England, dominate the beach.
